Last week we went on a trip to Sunway Pyramid for shopping and ice skating. A majority of boarders decided to partake in both activities with some taking to the ice for the very first time. Yvonne and Sally showed their elegance on their skates even pulling out the difficult arabesque position at times.

Last Saturday a majority of boarders along with Mr Mark, Ms Maureen, Mr Troy and Ms Bobby travelled to Malacca for a day trip. On arrival some chose to experience and view what Malacca has to offer on land and sea by touring the city on an amphibious vehicle courtesy of Melaka Duck Tours.

Due to the Exit Weekend there was no activity held however throughout the week, evening activities continue to be popular in regards to participation from the boarder’s. The sports hall continues to be occupied for the Indoor Football Competition on Monday nights. On Tuesday and Thursday the boarders have the opportunity to play either basketball or badminton.

Lazer Tag
We went to visit Mid Valley on Saturday. This shopping mall is located at Lingkaran Syed Putra and it has more than one hundred shops and restaurants. The first activity that we did was play Laser Tag. The teams were split in half and the Green team won both games against the Blue side. Last Saturday we visited SkyTrex Adventure in Shah Alam which is a challenging and nerve-wracking tree to tree ‘sky-trekking’ experience where you can fly, swing, glide and dangle on the various aerial obstacles suspended above the lush tropical Malaysian Rainforest.

The boarder’s were out of house last weekend due to the Hari Raya Haji Public Holiday. We went to Endah Parade to try our luck at roller-blading on Saturday and we were fortunate to have Ms Samantha with us who turned out to be quite proficient at skating. Following an introduction and some practise lessons, a minority of us then spent the next two hours either lying on the floor having not quite managing to balance ourselves properly.

On Saturday, the boarders went Water Tubing on Putrajaya Lake. On arrival we we greeted with good weather, a load of life jackets and a quick safety briefing from the manager. We had a few hours to take turns on the tube, three at a time. The drivers started off slowly, and to begin with the boarders fell off pretty easily!
