Nexus International School proudly celebrates the achievements of our learners in the 2024 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Our learners achieved an impressive average score of 34.1, significantly surpassing the 2023 global average of 30.32 points.

We are also proud of Nexus learners Conner Han and Erina Sam, who have excelled with remarkable scores of 44 points (out of a possible 45). Conner will be pursuing Chemistry at University of Oxford and Erina will be pursuing Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

This year, Nexus learners scored Value Added results of 1.85 points. This means that learners, on average, scored almost 2 points higher across all six subjects taken.

Seven of our learners achieved scores of above 40 points in the IBDP examinations, placing them in the top percentile for university admissions. Our dedicated Higher Education Counsellor has played a pivotal role in guiding students through scholarship applications, securing over USD 1.5 million in scholarships for our 2024 cohort to date.

Conner has been offered a place at Oxford University’s Chemistry program. With a profound passion for addressing environmental challenges through the application of chemistry, Conner will be pursuing the subject at one of the world’s most esteemed academic institutions.

Conner’s dedication to chemistry is exemplified by his remarkable achievements, including being awarded Best in Malaysia and Best in Southeast Asia by the Oxford AQA examination board for his performance in the 2022 IGCSE. His exceptional accomplishments underscore his commitment and promise in the field of chemistry.

Erina Sam has been offered a place at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to further her studies in Chemical Engineering. Erina is a distinguished high achiever, excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities. She has maintained near-perfect scores while also earning a gold medal at the SUKMA 2022 Netball tournament, demonstrating her exceptional ability to balance rigorous academic pursuits with athletic excellence.

“(The IBDP) has helped make me a more holistic student academically,” she says. “I definitely would not choose anything else other than IB.”
