Stocking up on essentials
Last minute changes were made in boarding last weekend but this did not stop our boarding community having fun and cooperating with each other. Saturday started off with a walk to the village to stock up on some essentials and buy some baking ingredients.
No off-site trips, but fun still continued in the house
In the afternoon Ms Joan joined us and we participated in an assortment of activities such as board games, jelly making, arts and crafts along with some EAL learning based challenges. The day was finished off with some games in the sports hall and then a swim.
As usual Sunday mornings are rather relaxed although our Year 11 and IB learners took the opportunity to get on top of their school work, while their younger peers kept busy playing pool and table tennis.
More muffins were baked which the rest of the house sampled. With no off-site trips permitted, it was pleasing to see how adaptable the boarders were over the weekend and how they supported one another in difficult circumstances.
