Term 1 Week 14
The highlight of last week was our Boarders Christmas Dinner. All of those who attended were full of festive cheer and were really looking forward to the evening. We were treated to a stupendous traditional Christmas dinner with roast turkey and a spit roast lamb, with all the trimmings too. Desert followed which complimented our main meal.
Next on the agenda were presentations to boarders, some singing and dancing performances, a photo and video slideshow that Ms Scout had organised and then a surprise visit by Santa who handed out the Secret Santa gifts.
It was a fabulous night enjoyed by all.
We took a group of boarders ten- bowling in Alamanda, and as most had gone home for the long weekend we were small in numbers. Austin got off to a good start, bowling spares and strikes, while Dream, Tony and Mr Alex showed signs of improvement during the course of the games. Danish playing on the other alley, played a strong first game with all sorts of spinning techniques, and only just lost to Idris in the second game.
On Sunday a lot of us finished off some last minute Christmas shopping before heading home for the holiday break. There was also time to head to the Cinema to watch the newly released Moana. For those parents who have not seen the cartoon animated adventure, this is a must watch movie!
