Term 1 Week 11
Last weekend, we went paint balling at the Extreme Park in Shah Alam. We split into two teams on arrival and following the rules and regulations briefing we were all excited about which teams we were to be in. The members of my team were Michael, Agnia, Max, Tony, Danish B, Takuto and Mr Alex. On the other team was Danish R, Kee Kang, Haziq, Callie, Dream, Austin, and Nicholas.
The first game of ‘Capture the Flag’ was successful for us as we managed to win the game. On the first round of the game, we started on the side with most advantages, as there was more objects to take cover behind. As the other team were distracted and taking cover, I made a determined run for the flag in the middle of the arena and I managed to bring it back to the base. The second game was a bit longer. It was harder for us since we had a disadvantage as we switched sides. However, Max showed courage and ran for the flag. He got shot bringing it back to the base, however, Danish B backed up and successfully captured the flag for us to record another victory.
It was a great day full of excitement which required good teamwork and courage.

This years 24 hour race, in support of antislavery, was held at IGB International School. With over 1000 students participating, Nexus had four teams place highly, and the boys side including boarders Jeff, Zhuo Le, Nihan and Aiman were the overall winners of the race! Their team covered almost 400 kilometres over the duration of the event.
Rachel, Georgia and Mahalia from boarding were in the overall winning girls team.
Everybody must be commended for running throughout the hot and sticky conditions in the day, and then continue to challenge each other's mental and physical toughness throughout the night. Well done to all participants and volunteers who were involved.
A special mention for Jeff who has shown determination over the last few months by encouraging as many of his peers to be involved, and also Riana who as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the event, has been a member of the organisation team for the entire year.
Nihan, Raziq and Alex participated in the International Award
On Wednesday afternoons, Mr Alex has kindly offered to take some boys and girls Rock Climbing at the Putrajaya Challenge Park. Parents and guardians, please make contact with houseparents if you give permission for your child to attend. The cost is RM15 per child, inclusive of safety equipment.
