Boarding House Floors Gain Identity
Tuesday, December 5, 2017
Last week all four floors in the Boarding House were officially named. The decision to name the floors which is displayed on the landing near the entrance to each common room, was to give more sense of belonging and identity. The names derive from those who hold a legacy within and who have made a massive contribution to Nexus School itself.
The boys floors have been named ‘Schubert’ after Mr Trevor Schubert, the first Director of Boarding at Nexus, and ‘Martin’ after Mr Stuart Martin, the first Principal of Nexus Malaysia. The girls floors have been named ‘Griffiths’ after Mr David Griffiths, the Founding Head of Nexus, while the other girls floor has been named “Hampshire’ after Ms Alison Hampshire, our current Principal.
Laser Tag
The boarders travelled to Sunway Pyramid with Ms Bobby and Mr Troy to play in three fun missions of Laser Tag. Boarders were split into the Red and Green team and after the induction phase, all were let loose into the dark maze, where they were required to shoot their opposition to gain points for their team with the Green Team being confirmed as the eventual winners. We had time to rehydrate ourselves and to do some shopping afterwards before heading back to the boarding house exhausted.
