Boarders Bouncing About
Last Saturday, Ms Bobby and Mr Andy transported a group of excited boarders to EnerZ Extreme Park at Subang Jaya. On arrival, everybody was introduced to some warmup and stretching exercises before the three hours of non-stop fun that they were about to endure.
As all of the boarders engaged in activities in the Trampoline Park ‘Sky Diving’, Slam Dunking Basketballs, or simply bouncing on the many trampolines, as well as playing Dodgeball, Wall Climbing and personally challenging themselves on the Sky Ropes, there were some sore, sweaty and tired bodies afterwards.
It was safe to say that the van ride back to the boarding house was extremely quiet.
Malaysia Day Celebration
Some of us decorated the boarding house in preparation for Malaysia Day last weekend, and in conjunction with the National Holiday organised the Petronas Towers Challenge in which boarders could build a replica of the Towers using spaghetti and marshmallows only, the Malaysian Cookie Design as well as the Redesign the Malaysian Flag Challenge where individuals or teams were to use their imagination by creating an alternative flag for the nation using different materials, textiles and imagination!!
There were some interesting designs to say the least and it was great to see so many boarders participate. The winners for each section (and large pizza recipients) were:
Petronas Towers Challenge - Raziq, Zhuo Jun & Elisa
Malaysia Cookie Design - Reena
Malaysian Flag Challenge - Ayla
Food Committee
Our very own food committee has been nominated to represent the boarding house by being the spokespeople for us all at monthly meetings with our meal caterers. The representatives Victoria, Callie, Raziq and Dream will be responsible for gaining feedback from those on their respective floors which then is discussed in forum with Mr Dan overseeing proceedings.
