Boarders enthralled with Nemo & Friends

Last weekend's activity was a visit to Aquaria KLCC where the boarders enjoyed the chance to touch and pet some of the fish and sea life, whilst learning some interesting facts. One of the fish we got to hold and touch was the Horseshoe Crab, which we were informed was one of the oldest animals on the planet. Geologists record them to date back to around 445 million years ago, 200 million years before dinosaurs existed!
We then wandered through the rest of the aquarium, mesmerised by some of the sea life on display such as prawns, eels, lionfish, giant freshwater fish and stingrays.
One of the highlights was the long glass tunnel which runs through the aquarium’s largest tanks, filled with sea life including sharks. As we exited the tunnel after being amazed by all of the sea life on display, it was shark feeding time and we got to see some of the incredible sharks in action.
Cuponk Comp
On Saturday Night we gathered around the ping pong table for a Cuponk Competition. The boarders played head to head, trying to bounce as many ping pong balls into their opponents cups in order to win. The winner ended up getting to enjoy the treats which were in each cup they got a ball into! It was great fun for all involved and will definitely be played again soon!
Breakfast Club with Mr Dan, saw the boarders this week, learning to make Heuvos Rancheros, a traditional Mexican archers style breakfast. It involves toasting some corn tortillas to soften them; adding a couple of crispy fried eggs with runny-yolks and a ladle of warm of salsa; all on top of a filling of nutritious spices and smashed beans. The breakfast was good fun to make and the boarders definitely enjoyed eating it!
