Malay Language Teacher
I am super thrilled to join Nexus this year. I have been teaching for the past 8 years. My teaching journey started when I was about to complete my Master’s degree. Initially, I never considered becoming a teacher or working in the education industry. Then, I became a tutor for secondary school students to support my studies and it was during that time that I noticed my passion for teaching growing.
After that, I broadened my professional horizons by taking a teaching position at one of the international schools in Petaling Jaya. For almost 6 years, I taught students from the seventh to the eleventh grades. In addition to that, I was given the chance to serve as an internal examiner for the IGCSE Malay Foreign.
During the past two years, the pandemic has had a significant impact on our lives. On the positive side, this has given me the opportunity to experiment with a variety of educational tools, such as Nearpod and Peardeck and become their verified educator.
Currently, I’m pursuing my PGDT in one of the public universities in Kuala Lumpur. When I have spare time, I like to go for a walk in the park, or watch movies and Korean dramas! Archery is another enjoyable hobby of mine. I am very excited to join the Nexus community this August. See ya!
