I taught in Egypt and for several years in Scotland, where I am originally from. I started my career as a banking and corporate lawyer, but after 10 years and a lot of soul searching, I decided on a major career change and became a Primary teacher. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made; knowing that you have made a positive difference to a young person’s life in one way or another is one of the nicest feelings in the world! International teaching has added another layer to this.
I love travelling, finding out about different cultures and meeting new people. I am really looking forward to experiencing Malaysia (particularly the food!) and would definitely welcome suggestions of places to go and things to see. As our daughter is now back in the UK at University studying drama, I will be coming to Malaysia with my husband Keith, and a very vocal ginger cat. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
