Y6 Taster Day

On Tuesday 15th January, year 6 learners had their first taste of secondary school during the taster day. The learners experienced Maths, English, Music, Drama and Humanities lessons with our secondary teachers.
Meanwhile, Ms Sam, Ms Leilah and Ms Morag presented to parents about the structure of Year 7 as well as the similarities and differences between Primary and Secondary at Nexus.
The day ended with some of our year 7 learners answering questions that the year 6s had about moving to secondary (many regarding homework and getting lost!). Our year 7 ambassadors, as well as Ms Sam (current Head of Year 7) addressed their worries and the Year 6s left excited for their second taster day, which will be happening later in the school year.
