Update on haze condition 17 Sept 2019

Sep 17, 2019
Dear Nexus community,

Thank you for your patience regarding the ongoing haze situation which continues to be a challenge as we balance the continued education of our learners with that of health and safety. We are regularly monitoring the air quality inside the classrooms and our facilities team are working hard to ensure that air filters and air conditioning units are cleaned and working efficiently. We will also be purchasing more air purifiers for classrooms as soon as possible.

The MoE have this evening told us that public schools will be open as usual tomorrow. The current API reading for Putrajaya is 179 and so tomorrow at Nexus will be a Red Day and all learner activities will be confined to indoors.

If you are concerned about the health of your child please inform the relevant Head of school (waller.c@nexus.edu.my - Primary, mccrorie.m@nexus.edu.my  - Secondary) and we will provide home learning for them. This will be recorded as an authorised absence.

Please ensure your child keeps hydrated and we encourage older learners to wear an N95 mask (They are difficult to wear and not recommended for younger learners).
