Inter-House Challenge 2019
Mar 6, 2019
On the 28th of February 2019, Nexus International School kicked off their new Inter-House challenge programme. Across year groups 7-13 all the learners come together in their houses and compete to take on a challenge that is either academic, creative, sporting or problem-solving. Each house team can enter individuals or teams into each event depending on the demands of the activity. There will be a range of challenges to help utilise the range of skills within that collection of individuals and underline the importance of teamwork and supporting each other towards a collective goal. Points are awarded for participation and success in each challenge and at the end of the year, the house with the most points will be crowned inter-house winners. We have an amazing group of house captains this year and below are some of their visions for their teams.
My aim is to encourage many students to participate in the whole range of events and I hope to bring back the house spirit. I am looking forward to this year and to taking on this role and working with everyone throughout the year. Go South Wolves!
Lilian Shin – South Wolves Captain
My vision is to increase participation amongst learners by promoting competition in all aspects. I hope that by enhancing friendly competition, the students will learn to work together and enjoy the experience. With that, I look forward to working with everyone and to helping make my vision a success. Go West Wolves!!
On Xin Yi – West Wolves Captain
My aim is to motivate my house team and to give opportunities for everyone to join in the events. I am thankful to be house captain of East wolves. Thank you.
Koko Kato – East Wolves Captain
My goals include encouraging all learners to engage and compete in the variety of events we have planned for this year, and to ensure that these events are positive and challenging experiences for all! I hope to see the learners of North Wolves competing with enthusiasm!
