Jul 28, 2022
After bagging Gold at the Moomba Masters Championships in Melbourne in March this year, Nexus Alumni Aaliyah Yoong has once again set another impressive record. At the Fluid Summer Showdown in Florida that took place on the 17th to 19th, Aaliyah rewrote three personal bests and two Asian records.
She garnered 8,080 points to erase her Asian women’s tricks record of 7,680, which was set at the 2019 Asian Championships in Bangkok. Aaliyah also achieved a new personal best in the jump with a distance of 41.9m, beating her previous record of 41.1m set in the 2022 Moomba Masters in Melbourne. Finally, her third achievement was setting a new Asian record in open women slalom by scoring 4.00/55/12.00, beating her previous record set in Spain in 2018.
We can't be more proud of Aaliyah's achievements and we can't wait to see her achieve greater heights! Bravo, Aaliyah!
