I am looking forward to landing in Malaysia and starting at Nexus. I feel that the child-centred and creative learning focus of the educational philosophy will be a great fit for me. I’m from East London, where I started my teaching career as an English teacher, before going on to become a Head of Media and Film Studies at Stoke Newington in North London, for many years.
I’ve always loved travel and adventure; this was part of the life-changing reason I decided to move to The British School, Kathmandu and start my international teaching career in Nepal. Culturally, it was fascinating, and it was the perfect place to enjoy outdoor sports: hiking, distance running and mountain biking. I’ve also enjoyed my time in China, but I’m really looking forward to experiencing the culture, the food and new experiences of Malaysia.
