Sahmalah did her training in New Zealand at Christchurch College of Education. On her return to Malaysia 15 years ago she joined Garden International School. During her time at GIS, Sahmalah has held responsibility roles, which included a Year Leader position and Primary Science Coordinator for five years. She has been involved in several working parties and has successfully organised several workshops for both staff and parents. Sahmalah sees herself as a facilitator who believes in Personalised Learning, providing an individual programme tailored for the specific developmental needs of each learner.
